Come join us for a monthly Jewish embodied dance group, the last Monday of the month! Get ready to let loose, connect with your inner self, and dance like nobody's watching. This in-person event is perfect for all levels of dance enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced movers and shakers. This is not a follow along class, this is a space to feel free and tap into your body's movements.

Our dance circle is a safe and inclusive space where we celebrate our Jewish heritage through the power of movement. Experience the joy and freedom of expressing yourself through dance, while connecting with like-minded individuals in our vibrant community.

Led by:

Ilene Serlin is a psychologist and dance movement therapist from the Bay Area. She began Israeli folk dance with Fred Berk in 1962, and has brought her love of dance into her work as a psychologist with culturally-sensitive healing practices. She also spent many years studying Tibetan Buddhism and meditation practices, but missed the rhythms of her own culture. She is now happy to work with other Jewish movement specialists to bring meditation, the body, Jewish cultural and religious rituals together through dance as a form of embodied Judaism.
