Theme of New Beginnings! This dance is our first one that is both “zoomed” and simultaneously dj-Ed live and offered locally on-site at Soul Studios 3303 Bahia Vista Ave Sarasota Fl 34232 . On-site dance is $15 payable at the door or with links below.
This is a mindful focused practice and a sacred space. Some join in for the exercise, the expression, as a spiritual experience, the play or to simply explore and see what it feels like....it is all held with respect and love. Join us thru zoom. If you enjoy the experience and have the financial means your donation is greatly appreciated, links below to pay thru PayPal or Venmo. A donation of $10 is recommended if possible, though no one is turned away. You can donate less /more with what works. Most important is to join in and be part of this movement that is done around the world!!!
The doors open at 6:30pm for meditation or stretch.
Ecstatic Dance Worldwide began as a Sarasota Ecstatic Dance and during the pandemic and zoom, opened to a more global connection. We are a small intimate yet very diverse and dedicated to movement group with folks from Sarasota and Gainesville FL, California, Missouri, Georgia, Toronto Canada, Isreal, Uganda Africa, France, Australia, Ireland, Spain and Costa Rica. We hope to continue with our wonderful dances and deep connections and to welcome others to join in and see what we are about.
There is also a regular Sunday morning practice 10:30-12noon. Kelly Atkins from Sarasota creates a soundscape that blends classical, instrumental, chillout, salsa, dubstep, club, electronic, world and more to give you a variety of vibrations to surf together. The music is woven together in a wave format starting and ending with stillness.
