Ecstatic Dance in the park - Lancaster County Central Park

Heather Sowers, LCSW-C will teach us about our nervous systems with playful storytelling, three different partner co-regulation exercises from BodyUp! Co-Regulation (BCR) ending with a group exercise. For those new to ecstatic dance, these practices are a way to discover what feels comfortable and safe for your body. It's an opportunity to explore together what is actually happening in our nervous system when we stretch ourselves emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually as we dance together in sacred space. Dancing time: led by DeeJay Deep Earth - drop down into yourself, moving to shamanic & world beat rhythms meant to facilitate an experience of openness, healing and expanded states of consciousness. Move in whatever way feels good to you; dancing solo or with others is equally welcome.

Art time: Local artist, Shauna Yorty will have an open art table with mixed media supplies available for those who wish to do their movement in the 2D realm. Feel free to stay put at the art table through the event or to pop in and out from the dance floor as you are called. Let's mix it up and create/move!
