💃🏼 What is Ecstatic Dance🕺🏼
Ecstatic Dance is a global movement—a sacred, freeform dance journey where rhythm and expression merge. Guided by a DJ’s carefully woven soundscape, dancers embark on a two-hour voyage through music and movement, unlocking deep somatic awareness. It’s an uninhibited space to connect with body, spirit, and sound, where every beat invites freedom, presence, and transformation.
Most people come for the full “journey” and go through the steps together. Opening circle to closing circle. However you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Lindsay Hester aka DJ LoO HoO started her DJ journey in Ecstatic Dance in SLC in the Summer of 2020. As an EDM Open Format DJ, she has the ability to mix a wide variety of genres, but her favorites are Tribal Trap, Ethnic Bass, Inspirational Dubstep, Funk Bass, Midtempo, Global House, Deep House, and Melodic Downtempo. She loves taking dancers through a journey that releases emotions and heals through movement. For this set, she will exploring the feminine energy for International Women’s day in honor of the ladies that founded the Clubhouse.
