Ecstatic Dance + Embodiment Practices in Nature (Amsterdam, Donation-based)

We are back to nature to share another Ecstatic Dance & Arts journey with DJ Leela, Oliver, guest musicians and you ?? It will be a beautiful Sunday afternoon (July 28 from 15-18 CET) to open up with embodied practices, to dance and move ecstatically and freely, to meditate, to make arts, to release what's no longer serving you, and to rest together, with an optional community potluck-style picnic after to share and connect deeper.
You are invited to journey with us at a hidden grass area in Flevopark Amsterdam, with silent headphones (within 100 meters) where you can also enjoy your own inner space. Where we will co-create a safe, open and connected space to move, dance, meditate...and rest together. We will have our guest artist Oliver to share some embodied practices as the opening ceremony before diving into the ecstatic dance flow.
WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?
It is a form of free-style dance that emphasizes free movement and authentic expressions, often accompanied by music and sounds that create different waves of a journey. It is a contemporary practice that has evolved over time, drawing on elements of various cultural and spiritual traditions. "The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing." "If you don't do your dance, who will?"

PRACTICALS:
Exchange: Donation-based (everyone is welcome to join, then donate after via pin or cash).

Location to be updated in the whatspp group. It's likely in Flevopark on a quiet grass area with enough shades. If it rains, it will be nearby under an artistic bridge with access to grass. We will confirm the location 1 day before.

Opening starts on time at 15:00
Closing at around 17:30
Potluck-style picnic starts from 17:30 after the dance, arts...
Please arrive earlier before 15:00 for the opening (guided exploration of senses and gentle movements)
To bring: your own drinks, water (no alcohol) and any snacks or food you like for yourself and/or to share, and a picnic blanket to sit on (if needed).
Musicians are welcome to join for jamming during and afterwards. We had a blast last years with singing, drumming, flute, handpan...so join us!

WHO ARE WE?
DJ Leela and LeilArts are a team in the conscious space. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity and experiences into offering their music and art to you.
They have traveled to 30+ countries, facilitated 60+ Ecstatic Arts and Dance Journeys with different themes, and co-created 100+ pieces of powerful artworks/collective stories with 2.5K+ participants during Ecstatic Arts & Dance journeys during the last 2 years. Those artworks are uniquely beautiful, touching and priceless with real people and stories behind, and they can never be duplicated. We believe this is the true value of art. To be remembered and passed around as positive vibration.
