Come explore, express and play ~ where all of you is welcome!
No experience necessary. We dance in the attic on a wood floor.
We’ll move through 5 Rhythms through a 75-minute dance journey:
* Flowing * Staccato * Chaos * Lyrical * Stillness
Schedule:
10:20 - Stretch, warm up
10:30 - Circle up to talk briefly about the space, music and dance
10:40 - Move! Dance!
11:55 - Closing circle
Ecstatic Dance Agreements:
1) No Talking During the Dance - But sounds (laughter, yelps, etc.) are welcome
2) Respect the Space and the People in it. No photos or videos.
3) Take off your Shoes, if possible
4) When Approaching Others:
- Respect dancers’ right to their own space.
- Always watch for the ‘Yes’ (turn toward, move closer, or extend a hand)
- Respect any ‘No’ (turn away, move apart, hand at your heart)
5) Find Your Rhythm! Move however you wish, accept others without judgment, and enjoy the journey.
