WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE: Ecstatic Dance is a diverse community gathering for those who want to express themselves in a playful, honest and artistic way with other people who value conscious connection, free-form movement and excellent music!
We create a space that is inspiring and uplifting; without talking, alcohol or the nightclub scene. We encourage participants to utilize the Ecstatic Dance space as an invitation for their magical mysterious nature, soulful somatic movement, creative self-expression, and heart-centered connection to self, life and others.
We hold a nonverbal, barefoot, alcohol-free container to keep the journey intentional and lucid. You can dance the night away and still wake up early to do awesome stuff in the world!
ABOUT ARTS OAK MISSION : "Arts Mission Oak Cliff holds space for a diverse community to cultivate, celebrate, and sustain their creativity while actively engaging and inspiring the public with the arts. On the surface, Arts Mission Oak Cliff is a repurposed old church. But it's a lot more than that – as a sanctuary for artists – and a safe place to foster artistic creativity, energy, and growth for all who enter."
SCHEDULE: Front of house doors open at 10am for check-in
10a | Free-form Warm Up: Stretch - Breathe - Meditate
10:30a | Opening Circle and Facilitation by Sarah Sampson
10:45a | Ecstatic Dance in the Sanctuary w. DJ Seda Bliss
12:00p | Closing Circle
ADMISSION | $15-25 in advance, $30 at the door (if space is available).
GUIDELINES:
1. No talking on the dance floor
2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment
3. No photos or videos, cellphones muted and out of sight
4. Respect for the space and for one another
5. Move your body however you wish!
6. You can dance alone, or with as many partners. (If you’d rather not dance with someone, thank them for the offer by placing your hands in prayer position at your heart.)

WHY? We came to dance.
SUGGESTIONS:
1. Dress comfortably to sweat & move.
2. BYOWB -- Bring your own water bottle - prefer non-glass.
3. Bring health protocol things if you wish - mask, snacks, etc.

Early bird pricing is as low as $15, but even if this tier is available, you can choose to pay a higher amount based on what you can afford and the value you receive from attending which will leave lower priced tiers open to others who need it. You choose. Your contribution ensures the Dance remains an integral, vital and celebrated community resource.
