Join us on May 21st for an evening of immersive sound and movement, designed to awaken your senses and connect you to your body with 2 sets from international artist, Iyakuh and an opening set from local support, Kofdrop.

 The Experience:

6pm: Doors open

6:30pm: Ambient Immersion with Iyakuh: Begin your journey with a deeply relaxing ambient soundscape crafted by Iyakuh. This is a space for gentle stretching, meditation, and laying down, allowing you to settle into the present moment.

 7:30 PM: Embodiment Facilitation: Transition into a guided warm-up led by a skilled facilitator, designed to gently bring you into your body and prepare you for the dance. 

8PM:  Organic Downtempo Grooves with Kofdrop: Local DJ, Kofdrop, sets the mood with a carefully curated downtempo set, weaving intricate rhythms and textures to ease you into the dance.

 9PM: Iyakuh's Dance Alchemy: Iyakuh returns with a 1.5-hour dance set, blending organic sounds, electronic textures, and driving rhythms to create a captivating sonic experience. Prepare to move, release, and connect with the energy of the room

10:30PM: Event concludes

Iyakuh:

Rooted in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, Iyakuh is creating a variety of different sonic landscapes from deep bass, organic downtempo, ambient, and textured beats. Incorporating a collage of nature recordings from around the world, the aim is to share an intimate auditory story reflecting the diversity of our home planet. Inspired by the vast expressions of lineage and cosmovision around the globe, the instruments used in the music weave a multicultural tapestry. Deeply influenced by the visual realms, Iyakuh also collaborates with various filmmakers, making soundtracks to support the preservation of various ecosystems, plant species, and culture.

Kofdrop:

Based in Columbus, OH, Kofdrop is a traveling DJ and event producer. He is one of the resident DJs for Ecstatic Dance Columbus. He has performed across the country at various festivals, events and ecstatic dances (Asheville, Philly, Portland, San Diego, etc.) and has shared the stages with artists such as Liquid Bloom, Mose, Savej, Random Rab and Equanimous. He seamlessly blends together a multitude of genres and tempos including world, bass, tribal, melodic, trap, downtempo and many others. A set from Kofdrop is sure to invigorate the body, mind and soul!
