Ecstatic Dance CLT -SANCTUARY IN MOTION -Sunday AM with DJ ISSA MALIKAT

I’m thrilled to announce a NEW EVENT for Ecstatic Dance Charlotte called SANCTUARY IN MOTION starting once a month on Sunday Mornings.

My next collaboration with DJ Issa Malikat will be on Sunday, 3/30/25, as we come together to plant seeds of intentions for 2025 through the transformative power of dance.

Meet DJ ISSA MALIKAT:

ISSA MALIKAT has been DJing for 8 years and her roots began in NYC in the deep house scene. She eventually migrated to the west coast where she began facilitating retreats and immersions with Blu at Mothertree. While in LA, Issa MALIKAT became a producer for the LA Daybreaker container which brings pop up sober dance events all over the country. Issa MALIKAT is a soundstrës and vibe curator, known for her unique ability to merge cultures through a collective of ethnic rhythms, spiritual melodic vocals, and soul vibrational elements. As a soundstrës of expression, she becomes a voice for the unheard, taking listeners on an evocative journey across time and emotions. Her sets transcend the ordinary, blending diverse sounds that resonate deeply with the body and soul, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the unity of human expression.

Ceremonial Cacao
We’ll offer 1 oz. ceremonial cacao for purchase starting at 9:30 AM, creating a heart-opening ritual to prepare for the evening’s journey.

Intention Setting

Please bring an altar item for our collective intention-setting ceremony. We will introduce ONE altar spaces for a deeper and more immersive experience dedicated to the following:

1. Feminine: Honoring intuition, nurturing, beauty, and the cycles of life.
2. Masculine: Celebrating strength, logic, action, and protective energy.
3. Unity: Representing oneness, peace, and the beauty of diversity. This altar also honors our ancestors and the wisdom passed down through generations.

Admission: Sliding scale $25–$55 (event capped at 100 participants)

Be Free: Dance as you like, with no judgment.

Be Present: No phones or cameras.

Be Embodied: No talking or spectating.

Be Clear: This is a sober event—no intoxicants.

Be Consensual: Always listen for and respect “yes” or “no.”

Be Here: No outside shoes.

Be On Time: Doors close at 10:00 AM for the opening circle and meditation.
