About this Event
Perfect post-Halloween event! Join us for a discussion of one of our most misunderstood mammals: bats! We will discuss the natural history, fun facts, and beneficial aspects of bats. Learn what bats are in our area and why we want them here! At sunset, we will take a stroll to see what nocturnal visitors might be out and hopefully watch as the bats exit the rookery bat houses! Register early through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.
Appropriate for ages 8 to 108.
Instructor: Dr. Katherine Clements, UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County ecology and natural resources educator
