To be a change-agent in your own life, your community, and the world at-large can feel daunting, especially when mainstream culture has us feeling atomized, disconnected, and overwhelmed. Permaculture is a framework for life, drawing from traditional ecological knowledge, that takes inspiration from nature for applications at every scale: from personal health and domestic life, to landscape design, to neighborhood and community life, to the macro-economic and societal levels. We're stoked that indigenous permaculturist Michael Alcazar is coming to Colorado Springs to facilitate a workshop on this subject. Whether you're an activist, a gardener, or just curious about life-affirming ways to move through the world, you are sure to find value in this experience. All ages welcome.

In this session, we will apply the patterns of nature to improving our health, strengthening social dynamics, by designing a roadmap to create a more regenerative system grounded in the ethos of permaculture: planet, people, and prosperity. We will explore the intersectionality of how different scales of human society, from the individual to the economy, can be structured with inspiration from the harmonics of ecosystems and organisms. We will connect to mycorrhizae, nature's champion subterranean collaborators, and envision ourselves as members of a dynamic and diverse culture of creativity.
