About this Event
This workshop is for K–12 classroom teachers in the DC Metro Area.
Empower your students to become environmental leaders! This interactive 90 minute workshop will guide you through how to integrate sustianability into your instuctuonal time, conduct an eco-audit and lead students in developing grant-funded sustainability projects.
You will learn how to transform your classroom into a hub for eco-literacy and hands-on learning, all while gaining practical experience in the grant application process. We invite classroom teachers with all levels of experience, grades K-12, to attend.
This workshop will be lead by seasoned EcoRise teachers and cover how to:
- Access all of EcoRise resources
- Conduct a data centered campus based eco-audit (for preK learners too!)
- Apply for classroom grants from our Student Innovation Fund
- Explore the curricula library including: Design Studios, Intro to Environmental Justice, Biomimicry, Buisness for Social Good (entrepreureship curriculum) and more!
Come and join us to learn how to easily incorportate all these resources into you classroom and get expert tips on planning and implementation.
