About this Event
Join us at the Estella Avery classroom at Confluence Park on Indigenous Peoples' Day, Monday, October 14th, from 9:00a-12:00p!
This is a free, professional learning opportunity for K-12 educators in San Antonio schools. There will be door prizes, coffee, and breakfast bites. Professional development certificates for CUEs and GT credit will be emailed by request after the workshop.
K-12 teachers in San Antonio public schools are invited to a groundbreaking PD to support the next generation of climate-resilient youth leaders and innovators. Participating teachers will receive training on and access to the Sustainable Intelligence curriculum and will walk through specific, hands-on, real world lessons related to the climate crisis. Activities will help teachers connect student learning to and take action around the City of San Antonio Climate Action and Plan. We will end with an exploration design thinking activities to guide their students to think creatively about solutions and inspire them to get involved with mini-grants to help tackle this global issue.
This workshop is supported by the City of San Antonio Office of Sustainability.
