Join us for our fourth annual EcoKids event, this year hosted at the beautiful From the Ground Up Community Garden. EcoKids is a mini Earth Day festival focused on getting kids excited to learn more and connect to our Earth! Multiple nonprofits and educators are coming together to make fun, interactive learning stations, including but not limited to:
Protecting dune ecosystems with the Dune Defenders!
Learning about local wildlife with the Wildlife Sanctuary of NW Florida!
Making art with natural paints and dyes!
Connecting to the Earth through music with Making Waves Music Therapy!
And so much more!
Local business AJ’s Market & Ice Cream will be giving away ice cream between 12 - 2 pm! Thank you AJ’s for being an in-kind sponsor for EcoKids!
Local vegan food truck Pretty Baked will also be at From the Ground Up all day selling yummy sandwiches and other treats!
EVENT SCHEDULE:
10 am - 11 am: Free Range Exploration of the Garden & Listening to Local Musicians (who are kids!)
11 am - 1 pm: Learning Stations Relay: little learners will switch between booths every ten minutes to interact with all of the fun displays we’ll have set up around the garden. When Ms. Elizabeth blows her conch shell, it’s time to go to the next station!
1 pm - 2 pm: Bag Monster Play, QLD Presents Dance Group, and more music!
