About this Event
With book and lyrics by Sarah Safford and music by Sean Ivy, this will be a 50-minute version of a full-length work in progress, with professional actors performing the roles of the familiar A.A. Milne characters Pooh, Piglet, Owl, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo. Christopher Robin's son and grandchildren are also in the story.
Facing extreme Climate Conditions, an encroaching Pipeline, and a serious Honey Shortage, Winnie the Pooh and his aging friends realize they must act to save themselves and their beloved Hundred Acre Wood. Their original benefactor Christopher Robin has passed away, and the animals are now dependent on Christopher Robin Jr and the Grandchildren, who seem to be unavailable. Catastrophes mount and emotions run high in this musical melodrama that mirrors our current Planetary Predicament.
While this event is family-friendly, it deals with intense themes like displacement, deforestation, disability, and memory loss. Recommended for accompanied older kids, teens, and adults of all ages.
