In this Ecoburbia At Home session we will be looking BASIC FOOD GARDENINGAre you keen to trying growing some food in your garden? Have you tried and failed to get a worthwhile crop?
This workshop will look at some of the basics – the structure, chemistry and microbiological life in your soil, how to get great soil, the best way to plant a seedling and seeds, the importance of mulch and how to choose what you should be growing in your garden. Bring along a soil sample from your garden. You will also get a tour of the gardens at Ecoburbia.
You will leave with everything you need to know to enjoy a bumper crop this season.
(Please note this is a beginning gardening workshop – we won’t cover everything!)
This workshop is $20 or a meal for four that can be put in the freezer. If you are in the West Beacy Bunch it's free!
Please also bring some finger food snacks to share during a break.
