Eco-weaving Fashion Workshop

IFA Paris is a fashion design and management school with campuses in Paris and in Istanbul.

For 40 years, IFA Paris has been teaching fashion students to turn their passion into a successful career. Its programs in fashion design and fashion business have been ranked among the best undergraduate and postgraduate fashion programs in France and worldwide.

For the third consecutive year, IFA Paris will present its graduates’ collections in New-York during a unique fashion show created in collaboration with Kent State University, Miami Ad School and NYFA.

To celebrate this milestone, as well as the launch of a brand new visual identity and academic program offers, our school is inviting you to participate in an exclusive fashion workshop focusing on sustainability.

Join us for an exciting, hands-on Eco-Weaving Fashion Workshop, where creativity meets sustainability! In this workshop, you’ll learn the art of weaving using environmentally friendly practices, with materials sourced exclusively from deadstock fabrics and second-hand clothing. This approach not only reduces waste but also offers a unique opportunity to breathe new life into discarded textiles.

Guided by our Fashion Design Program Leader from our Paris Campus, Ms Delphine Durieux, you will explore the fundamentals of weaving, from selecting your materials to designing and crafting your piece. The focus will be on turning what was once waste into beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations. Each participant will leave the workshop with a unique woven artwork, which can either be incorporated into clothing as an embellishment or used as a stunning decorative piece for your home.

This workshop is perfect for fashion enthusiasts, eco-conscious creators, and anyone interested in sustainable art. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker, you'll leave inspired by the endless possibilities of eco-friendly fashion.

4 participants will be selected for the quality of their work and will be awarded tickets to attend our exclusive fashion how held on October 17th at 6pm at Shift Mid-Town (330 West 38th Street in New York).
