On 7th December 2024, The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) and Dow Malaysia are collaborating to organize the inaugural 5KM Eco-Run for Inclusion in support of NASOM Teluk Pulai Centre’s new playground made of recycled shoe materials and sustainable (water-based & solvent-free) solutions.The objectives of the Eco-Run are to create awareness for autism community and to support circularity by showing that shoe waste can be converted as raw materials for infrastructure builds.
Eco-Run for Inclusion combines the goals of promoting inclusivity with environmental sustainability.
Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community and togetherness.
Autism Awareness: Raise awareness and support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community.
Sustainability: Support NASOM Teluk Pulai’s initiative for a playground made from recycled shoes and sustainable materials
