Unlock the mysteries of capturing plant prints directly on paper! Merge art, science and nature to create fascinating foliage prints that can be used for bookbinding, framing, card making or mixed media projects. With a few common chemicals, heat and pressure, many plants will release pigments that leave precise images on paper. Participants will learn two different techniques for eco printing on paper – a dirty pot method where paper is submerged in iron water and a steam method that results in clear backgrounds. You will leave class with a stack of wonderful prints and knowing how to use both methods at home so that you can continue to make botanical prints to use in your artwork.
