Join us for an evening at REC where staff members from the Worcester County Conservation District (WCCD) will provide an introductory workshop discussing topics relating to eco-landscaping and building native habitats on small, urban spaces. The topics covered in this workshop include tips on pollinator plantings, land stewardship practices, and lawn alternatives, to name a few.

Bethany Nichols is a Massachusetts-born environmental educator who loves working outdoors and connecting people with nature. Bethany joined WCCD in late-2024 as the Program Manager to the Healthy Soils Action Plan, delivering soil health education and outreach, and has recently transitioned into the Education and Outreach Coordinator where she educates the public of all ages on an array of conservation topics.

Georgia Albanese is a local conservationist and environmental enthusiast, with experience in land stewardship and agriculture. Georgia has been with the WCCD since mid-2025 as the Conservation Planner, where she manages the soil testing program as well as collaborates with farmers and forest landowners to build conservation plans that preserve natural resources.
