Eco-Art Workshop: Making Music with Nature

Join Rhythm Science Sound at the Josephine Sculpture Park as we explore the sonics and music of the natural world. Through Bio-Data Sonification, a technique of using the bio-electric signals in living organisms and ecologies, we will create melodies, tones, rhythms, and compose unique musical pieces in collaboration with nature. We will create music alongside plants, moss, fungi, humans, etc and dive into the cool science of ecology, bio-electricity, and sound that this technology makes audible!
This is a rain or shine event. The workshop will start at the amphitheater near the Visitor’s Center. In the case of rain, we will start in the event barn – the large tobacco barn to the left near the entrance of the park.
All ages are welcome. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: $20 non-members, $10 members
Capacity: 20 people
