As therapists, we understand how unprocessed trauma can echo across generations. We hear it in the stories our clients share. We feel it in our own bodies as we sit with them. This expanding field of intergenerational healing deserves our thoughtful attention—but so does another truth that often goes unnamed: strength and wisdom also travel through families.
