The first half of ‘Echoes of the Volga’ will will delve into the deep and sacred Russian Orthodox liturgical compositions by some of the finest choral composers such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, Pavel Chesnokov, Dmitriy Bortniansky, and Alexander Grechaninov. The ancient melodies harmonised by the premier composers, coupled with ROMCA's pitch-perfect and precise delivery is set to transport you to a realm of spiritual serenity and timeless beauty.
The second half will embark on a musical journey through Russia's rich cultural tapestry with stories of hope, love and despair being reborn through dynamic and unique folk songs. Adding a vibrant visual dimension to the evening, the local Russian dance ensemble 'Rusichi' will take over the stage with their exquisite choreography, enhancing the enchantment of this cultural extravaganza.
