More than 40 years have passed since that horrific year. At the time, the investigation into events surrounding the murder of Susan Reinert and her missing children took many twists and turns, often proceeding from speculation, which has left many of us with garbled memories of the facts. The King of Prussia Historical Society believes that it is important to document a chronology of the known facts to the best of our ability, while avoiding the sensationalism which some media outlets unfortunately gave in to at the time. It is no doubt an unfortunate part of our history in Upper Merion, but it is a part of our history nevertheless and should be properly documented for the future.
