This concert, celebrating the deep connection between culture, nature, and tradition, begins with "Czech Suite"—an homage to Dvořák’s homeland—alive with Bohemian dance rhythms and folk melodies. Sarasate’s "Zigeunerweisen" (Gypsy Airs) thrills with passionate Spanish flair and spotlights the exceptional talent of our own Concertmaster, Alexandra Bartoi. We close with Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony, a masterpiece that paints a vivid musical portrait of the countryside, from awe-inspiring storms to tranquil fields, babbling brooks, and rustic village dances.Pre-concert talk begins at 6:30pm in Presentation Hall, included with your concert ticket.
