FREE EVENT! Meet the inspiring groups of local students who participated in the 2024 National History Day competition and had their projects featured at the Smithsonian!
These award-winning projects explored the history of Wilmington's 1898 massacre and coup d'état. See a poster exhibit "In Flames: America's Only Successful Coup" and the short documentary film "The Day the River Ran Red".
Then hear from the students about their research, the projects, and the events of 1898.
