Designed specifically for early learning kaiako, leaders & support kaimahi, this day is an affordable opportunity to dive deeper into the world of relationships, behaviour and well-being.
The cost is $80 (earlybird rate available until 30th Nov) which includes lunch, refreshments and a practical, thoughtfully designed take-home pack to support your practice and your well-being.
In the morning, we'll look at what behaviour tells us about a child’s experience and early relationships, and how kaiako can respond in ways that help tamariki feel safe, especially when things are hard. Then, in the afternoon, we’ll focus on kaiako - how our own experiences shape our responses, and practical ways to steady ourselves in the moment and plan for our well-being. You'll leave with practical tools to use in your daily practice the very next day and ideas to share with your team.
This workshop is delivered by infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) professionals who are also members of IMHAANZ Te Komiti Whakahaere | Executive Committee. IECMH is a specialist field focused on the social and emotional well-being and development of pēpi and young tamariki - and with supporting the adults who care for them, including whānau and kaiako.
