About this Event

Join us for a free, one-day summit that brings block clubs from across South Los Angeles together to learn from one another, connect with city and community resources, and build stronger, more connected blocks.

Hosted by the Empowerment Congress Central Area Neighborhood Council, co-sponsored by Council District 8, at The Connect (Bread Factory location).

What to expect:

• Practical workshops, including how to form a nonprofit and free social media training
• A resource fair with city departments, nonprofits, and community partners
• A peer panel of established block club leaders sharing what’s worked on their blocks
• Food, music, family activities, and a photo booth
• Honoring community leaders making a difference on their blocks

Whether your block club is just getting started or has been organizing for years, this summit is for you. Learn, connect, and leave with real tools and real relationships to build a stronger block.
