About the book

Are we sufficiently listening to young people? Ge(e)neratie pleads to engage young people more in today's challenges. Not just to check how they are doing, but to involve them as a worthy partner in the societal debates of our time.

Author Julien De Wit explores contemporary issues such as declining educational quality, sexual misconduct, political renewal, mental well-being, woke culture, poverty, justice, and more. He always starts from a youthful perspective that is challenged by experts. Throughout the book, several dozen young and not-so-young people meet each other. Together, they reflect on solutions to the problems this generation will face.

About the session

We are priviliged to welcome the author Julien De Wit to our session. Although the book is in Dutch, the session will be in English. Julien De Wit will guide us through some of the topics from his book, and challenge us on some ideas and issues.

You can find some articles, interviews and podcasts with Julien De Wit where he talks about his ideas and the book. They're all in Dutch, but except for the podcast it's all very easily translatable.

About the author

Julien De Wit is a writer, columnist, consultant strategic communication, former chairman of the Flemish Student Association, key-note speaker and even the National Press officer of the Spa Grand Prix. Julien has a MsC in International relations, with a focus on international security. At only 24 years of age, Julien is a true talent of the public intellectual space in Belgium. About to release his second book (On)zeker and generally inspiring and fascinating person to follow.
