At Pasture and Plenty we provide solutions for folks who are hungry for connection, for collective action, but starved for time. We believe that how we choose to feed ourselves and one another can be a transformational act. Our Food choices are climate action, can create meaningful careers and jobs and resilient local communities, can heal and build relationships, can bring common understanding and fuel our bodies and our spirits, and can help us build and reinforce identity and culture. We work to create a space where convenience does not have to mean compromise, and where engaging in community action is easy and delicious. We create space for the community to learn about food, community and social issues through fundraisers, cooking classes, community events and collaborations with inspired and inspiring businesses, organizations and politicians. We are deeply committed to building community in our local food system. Over the past six years, we have invested more than $2 million dollars in local food purchasing — from farmers, cheesemakers, tortilleros, brewers, pasta rollers, jam preservers, pig farmers, chicken wranglers, beef herders and bread bakers. We look forward to sharing how and why we make this commitment to bringing local food to the table.
