Looking for free, family fun during ArtWalk in Galveston? EATcetera and the Galveston Railroad Museum invite families to enjoy its free EATcetera Kids Zone at the Galveston Railroad Museum (EKZ@RR), 123 25th Street, Saturday, March 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. EATcetera offers a kids' menu and other concessions while the Kids Zone offers children’s activities, bounce houses, games, and crafts provided by local businesses and organizations. Activities are open to children ages 12 and under with an accompanying adult. As part of ArtWalk, the Galveston Railroad Museum is featuring the art of Ron Dorson. Specializing in history and preservation, Dorson is the author of two books on the Indianapolis 500; his mission is to capture the romance and spirit of the American road, documenting the evolution of the highway system after World War II.
ALL ABOARD! The GALVESTON RAILROAD MUSEUM is offering ArtWalk Caboose train rides on the Harborside Express 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Purchase Tickets in the train depot only. $10 per person. Admission to the Train Depot is free after 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 409.765.5700.
