E.A.T. is organising a satellite event in Paris on 20 October 2026, from 2pm to 6pm, kindly hosted by Lafayette Anticipations.
About this Event

"It is by thinking about and with one another, by being together that new forces and movements can emerge. We need to find new forms of togetherness. It is urgent to build bridges and foster togetherness in today’s world; when we go beyond the fear of pooling knowledge and break down silos, we can do just that."

— Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries and E.A.T. curator.

The Engadin Art Talks will once again host a satellite event at Lafayette Anticipations in Paris, as a complement to the main event in Zuoz. This year, the renowned cultural festival focuses on the theme Bonds & Gaps, reflecting on the relationship between closeness and distance, connection and separation. How do we respond to the drifting apart of social groups, and what role can art play in bridging divides and creating new forms of connectedness?

Through conversations that bring together different perspectives from art and beyond, Engadin Art Talks seeks to create a space for exchange, reflection, and discovery. The 2026 Engadin Art Talks participants explored ruptures and intermediate spaces through their respective fields and modes of expression, while also highlighting connecting elements, relationships and networks. This Paris edition also offers a first look ahead: in their presentations, Kader Attia and Kathryn Weir will begin to explore Repair Repair, the theme of the 2027 Engadin Art Talks.

Participants:

Kader Attia, artist and curator of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2027;

Eric Baudelaire, artist and filmmaker;

Clément Delépine, director of Lafayette Anticipations;

Isabel Lewis, artist and choreographer;

Pol Taburet, visual artist;

Kathryn Weir, art historian, curator and writer.

We are especially pleased that this Paris edition marks our first collaboration with Xue Tan, who recently joined the curatorial team of Engadin Art Talks. Xue Tan is chief curator and head of programme and exhibitions at Haus der Kunst in Munich, and together with Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries in London, she has shaped the programme for this year’s Paris event.
