Join us for “Eat the Book” on Thursday, September 3rd - an event to celebrate local literacy and creativity hosted by Butterfly Bakery, Elleinad Books and Linked 2 Literacy!
Butterfly Bakery will be creating a variety of decorated cakes inspired by classic storybooks.
The featured books:
Llama Llama Red Pajama
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Berenstain Bears
Dr. Suess
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
Rainbow Fish
Where the Wild Things Are
A Little Bit Brave
Goosebumps.
The cakes will be available for viewing and raffle tickets will be available for purchase to enter a drawing for each of the cakes, with winners randomly selected at the end of the evening. You do not need to be present to win.
Proceeds from the cake raffle will be donated to Linked 2 Literacy.
You will have the opportunity to browse and support the locally-owned bookstore, Elleinad Books, and enjoy cake samples from Butterfly Bakery. During the event, the decorators from Butterfly Bakery will be present to chat with and ask any questions; and will be presenting a live cake decorating demonstration to all attending!
