Eat and Greet with the cookbook authors of Dobre Dobre & Chesnok

Join us for an eat-and-greet book event with Laurel Kratochvila & Polina Chesnakova, respective authors of the acclaimed Dobre Dobre & Chesnok.

Taste a spread of food from their books (cooked by the Elmendorf staff) followed by a brief conversation and Q & A. This is a wonderful chance to immerse yourself in the culinary traditions of Poland and the Soviet Disapora.

More about the authors:

Laurel Kratochvila, author Dobre Dobre: In addition to her latest work Laurel is the author of New European Baking, which was a finalist for a James Beard award in 2023. She's also the owner/baker of Fine Bagels in Belin and Le Balto, a wine bar. She was born and raised in Massachusetts.

Polina Chesnakova, author Chesnok: Born in Ukraine to Russian and Armenian Immigrants from Georgia. This is her 3rd cookbook, following Hot Cheese, & Everyday Cake. Her work has also appeared in the Washington Post, Epicurious, Saveur and elsewhere. Polina currently lives in Providence RI.

There are two tiers of tickets to this event. General admission tickets do not include a book. Discounted books can be added to your ticket during checkout on Eventbrite. All tickets to the event include a chance to sample a variety of dishes from her books.

General Admission Tickets include:

• A sampling of food from the author's books and meet and greet with the authors.

The general admission ticket does not include a cookbook. Books can be added on during the purchase of your ticket. Additional signed copies of the author's books with be available for purchase at the event. Also note this is a standing event.
