Hi neighbors!
For March’s Odd-Month Social, we're hoping to engage as many participants as we can for a week-long Eastwood-centered scavenger hunt.
During the week of March 23rd, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to visit neighborhood locations, educate themselves on our local ecosystem and collect unique items, all worth points that will be tallied up during the event’s awards presentation on Saturday, March 28th (1p-3p; rain date 3/29).
To kick things off, we’re offering neighbors the opportunity to get involved early in the fun by submitting ideas for unique tasks / locations / collectible items within Eastwood. Those interested, can use the link below to submit as many ideas that come between now and Friday, March 6th. Here are some examples to get the creative juices flowing:
(age < 3) Get a push on a neighborhood swing (photo in swing).
(age > 4) Visit a neighborhood Little Free Library (photo).
(age > 4) Find a native tree (photo) (bonus points for citing some of its benefits).
(age > 4) Collect 1 piece of litter.
(age > 4) Introduce yourself to a neighbor (photo w/them).
(age > 4) Try to find / identify the neighbor who has lived in Eastwood the longest.
(age > 4) Photo of the oldest home / building in Eastwood.
(age > 4) Do something kind for a neighbor (photo documentation or w/neighbor)
(age > 4) Photos of native wild animals (bonus points for noting their benefits)
(age > 9) Visit a local bus stop (bonus points for learning / sharing its bus route details).
(age > 9) Do something to help support / promote a local business (social media post, purchase etc).
(all ages) Photo w/an Eastwood Neighbors sign.
Once all submissions have been reviewed, we’ll share a link for folks to vote on their favorites to be included in the hunt. So be sure to keep an eye on your email / ENA socials the week of March 9th for the list of finalists & voting details!
