Eastwood Events presents: 'Luan Luan EP Release Show'. Held at The Prince, in Brighton, on Thursday 26th March 2026, Luan Luan will be headlining the evening, with special guest and main support act Amber Burgoyne and opener act still to be confirmed.About our acts...
Luan Luan: Originally hailing from Madrid and now based in Brighton, Luan Luan is an artist who breaks free of genre-boxed, crafting colourful, emotionally compelling soundscapes framed by a synaesthetic view of the world. With a multi-genre sound that blends indie, funk, pop, soul and R&B, their music is a kaleidoscopic reflection of internal worlds made audible. Each musical moment they create feels like a sensory map; colourful, layered and highly personal, with dynamic saxophone solos and anchored by fingerstyle guitar playing that pulses with rhythmic bounce and melodic flair.
Luan’s devotion to music returns to their early years of life. They experienced childhood surrounded by constant auditory exposure to a wide range of records, including rock, pop, soul, R&B, blues, indie, funk, flamenco, bossa nova, reggae, bolero, samba, and many more, thanks to their music-loving parents, despite not being musicians themselves. Right before entering their teenage years, Luan began singing, writing poetry, and playing guitar, often reflecting their lived experiences through emotions, synaesthesia, and abundant metaphors in their lyrics, a practice that continues to this day.
Amber Burgoyne: Amber Burgoyne is a singer-songwriter, fusing elements of soul, jazz and folk. Combining smooth acoustic guitar, sweet saxophone, storytelling lyrics and a voice “that melts your heart”.
Imani Ruiz: Imani Ruiz is a neo-soul vocalist whose sound is best described as soulful, smooth, and intimately mellow. Drawing influence from foundational artists like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Etta James, and contemporary talent like Sasha Keable, Imani delivers music that feels both warm and deeply introspective. Hailing from Buckinghamshire with strong Caribbean roots, Imani’s musical identity is a rich tapestry woven from diverse genres. Growing up, she was immersed in the powerful rhythms of Reggae, Soca, Calypso, and Jungle, alongside the classic textures of Soul, Jazz, and Funk. This eclectic upbringing compels her to create music that attempts to mix and honour all these sounds. In her writing, Imani is melody-driven, often working with collaborators to explore themes of self-love, complex relationships, identity, ambition, and navigating the future. Her vision remains wonderfully grounded: she isn't seeking viral fame or thousands of followers, but simply wishes to create music that makes listeners feel something—the same profound, individual connection she gets from her own favourite artists. She sees success in the few who truly connect with her work, taking "small steps at a time”.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Cash and card available.
