EASTFIELD SHOPPING CENTRE (25 mins)

Presented by Jaye Heather and Dylan Anderson (Big Fork Theatre)(Meanjin/Brisbane) as part of the Brisbane Improv Festival 2026.

The humble suburban shopping centre. Inauspicious perhaps but look closely and it's packed full of characters. Inspired by your memories and anecdotes of going to the shops or perhaps your first casual job at the plaza down the road. Jaye and Dylan will weave a hilarious monoscene jumping between characters and letting things get out of hand.

With nods to the likes of famed improvisors Middleditch and Schwartz, and Big Grande, Dylan and Jaye love to draw the wacky out of the seemingly mundane. Dylan and Jaye have been performing together for over a year and are excited to bring a full half hour show to life.

BIMMY TEACH YOU LESSON (25 mins)

Presented by Big Fork Theatre(Meanjin/Brisbane) as part of the Brisbane Improv Festival 2026.

Bimmy Teach you Lesson is a look into the psyche of two mentally unstable women who are completely convinced that everyone else is the weird ones. Bimmy aims to force audiences to look inwards and ask themselves, “am I watching an improv show, or have I actually just started having a fever dream from a gas leak at home that my carbon monoxide detector hasn’t picked up?”

About the Brisbane Improv Festival

This year’s festival will be held on the 14th - 18th of July 2026 - that’s five nights of incredible improvised shows open to the public, and we will host 14 different workshops for improvisers to expand their skills. Previous Festivals had shows from around Australia and New Zealand, this festival is not to be missed!
