The Eastern Region, Junior Guard School, is now into its fifth year.
The program is being run to deliver development opportunities for Lifeguards aged 14 - 16 in the Eastern Region. The course will take place from Friday 4th July 6pm - Sunday 6th July at 3pm at Mt Maunganui Lifeguard Service.
Applicant Criteria;
- Attendees must be aged 14 – 16
- Attendees must be refreshed Surf Lifeguards
- Attendees must be current members of a Surf Lifesaving Club
Whilst attendees who have attended this course previously will be considered, priority spacing will go to those members who are in their first season / have not attended prior.
Members from clubs outside of the Eastern Region will be considered however priority spacing will go to those in the Coromandel, Bay of Plenty & Gisborne areas.
Attendees will be assessed on their volunteer patrol hours and level of involvement in Surf Lifesaving events alongside other considerations – we may seek club endorsement for those members the regional staff aren’t familiar with already.
