Join us for the Eastern Connecticut Watershed Summit: Connecting Through Water, a regional gathering bringing together watershed groups, municipalities, nonprofits, organizations, and community members from across Eastern Connecticut.This free event will provide opportunities to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and explore strategies that support watershed health, resilience, and local action throughout the region.
The summit will feature:
• A presentation on the Unified Water Study by Save the Sound
• A regional panel discussion with watershed and community leaders
• Interactive workshops and demonstrations
• Networking and collaboration opportunities
• Lunch provided
Workshop topics include:
• Rain Barrels 101 (participants receive a rain barrel)
• Shellfish and water quality in Long Island Sound
• Water quality monitoring and regional tools
• Community science and stewardship tools
• Wetland science and art
