Easter Hot Cross Bun Baking Class for Children

Our much-loved cookery workshops are back!

In this baking class, children will learn how to make soft, spiced hot cross buns, discovering the magic of yeast and the secrets behind perfectly risen dough.

What they will do:

· Mix and knead enriched dough

· Add fruit and warming spices

· Shape and glaze their buns

· Pipe traditional crosses

· Bake and take home their creations

They will learn:

· How yeast works

· Kneading and dough handling

· Kitchen confidence and independence

· Hygiene and safe baking practices

This workshop is for children aged 7-12 and every participant will get:

• Two and a half hours of fun cooking time
• A recipe booklet
• All the ingredients to make the above items
• A box to bring their food home to share with the family

This fun cookery workshop will be run by our talented school chef, beekeeper and artist Jakeline Londono.
