About this Event

Join us for a children's holiday craft activity in celebration of our Plumstead Tales exhibition exploring the South Asian population in Plumstead, SE London. Come and create fun and colourful patterns using traditional Indian wooden block prints in this Easter Holiday workshop.

Indian block printing is a traditional fabric printing technique using superbly carved wooden blocks in various patterns. Motifs vary from geometrical and abstract, to floral designs, animals and birds. A variety of blocks will be available to choose from on the day to create a unique design.

Workshop is free. Bring your own fabric to print on, or tote bags available £5 each (card payment on the day only). As we will be using fabric paints please wear old clothes or bring an apron.

Suitable for ages 5-12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

NB - Nearest train station is Charlton or bus no. 53, 54, 422 stop just outside.
