Welcome to Fèis Obar Dheathain

From Monday 8th to Thursday 11th of April we will be offering four days of music and arts tuition for children.

Children in P1 - P3 can participate in our Fèis bheag session where they will get a taster of musical instruments, Gaelic song and arts, crafts and games.

Children in P4 and up can choose 3 options from the following list:

Clàrsach - Harp. With tutor Carola MacCallum

Giotàr - Guitar. With tutor Aly Lyon

Fìdeag - Tin Whistle. With tutor Aly Lyon

Bogsa ciùil - Accordion. With tutor Mairi Mackay

Feadan - Chanter. With tutor Mairi Mackay

Fidheall - Fiddle. With tutor Eva Brownlie

Seinn - Singing. With tutor Eva Brownlie

Ealain - Art. With tutor Monica de la Haye

The instrumental classes suitable for children P4 and above will be offered at Beginner/Improver and Intermediate+ levels as far as possible.

The cost for the four days is £80 for one participant and £70 for each additional child. Fèis Obar Dheathain may be able to provide financial support for low-income families. Please email [email protected] for further information. All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.

***CUDROMACH - IMPORTANT***

• Please use the name of the child you wish to register when signing up. You are able to register more than one child when booking.

• When booking you are registering for all four days of the event. Participants will do the same subjects each day.

• Participants aged P4+ must choose three different subjects.

• Participants choosing Tin Whistle will need to provide their own instrument, in the key of D. Whistles will be available for sale at the Fèis.
