Easter Basket Buttercream Cake Decorating Class

About this class:

In this class, Laura Larson of Laura’s Custom Cakes invites students to expand their mastery of buttercream icing. You will learn how to execute the classic basket-weave piping technique with clean lines and consistent spacing as well as master smooth and professional borders. Instruction will focus on pressure control, pattern alignment, color blending and achieving a polished finish.

Perfect for decorators who want to sharpen their piping skills while creating a delightful centerpiece for Easter.

Recommended Skill Level:

This class is designed for students who have prior experience working with buttercream and are comfortable with leveling, stacking and crumb coating cakes. It is ideal for decorators who are ready to expand their buttercream skills and refine their craftsmanship in a single, focused session. Participants must be at least 13 years old.

All The Details:

• Age Level: 13+
• Skill Level: Beginner with some experience working with buttercream
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Price is per person. A ticket must be purchased for each individual attending the class.
• Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 10 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2.5 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
