Born and raised in Ottawa, Derek Martin's childhood was steeped in music, thanks to his family's love for country tunes. In 2015, Derek embarked on his musical journey as a solo artist, later teaming up with Kyle Howard to form an acoustic duo. Fast forward to today, and Eastbound of Bytown has evolved into a full-fledged band, with Casey McCann on lead guitar and Mark Castonguay on drums.
Reflecting on his musical influences, Derek fondly recalls listening to iconic country artists like Billy Ray Cyrus, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt during his formative years. Inspired by his family's musical legacy, Derek picked up the guitar at the age of 14, setting the stage for his future endeavours in the world of music.
For Derek and his bandmates, forming Eastbound of Bytown was a natural progression fuelled by their shared passion for country music. From intimate acoustic performances to electrifying festival sets, the band has captivated audiences across Ottawa with their authentic sound and infectious energy.
As they gear up for their performance at Overflow Brewing Company, Derek and the band are excited to share their favourite country classics and original compositions with fans old and new. Khloe B is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from the Ottawa Valley.

She started performing at the age of 8 and has been touring our beautiful country showcasing her love for music. She specializes in country, with a twist of rock, pop, and folk mixed within. Khloe can play the guitar, piano, and ukulele, and loves sharing her passion and stories with everyone. She has performed at festivals such as Bluesfest, and country jamborees all over Ontario for the past four years.“
