About this Event

A note from our speaker, Mark Battenberg:

Hear Ye … Hear Ye ...we are back for 2026

You are invited to an afternoon of discovery as we trace the wonderful history of the Upper Beach. From the decline of the great glaciers to the First Nations People, The Kingston Rd during the war of 1812, and on to the villages of Norway and Benlamond, which were the

cornerstones of the upper Beach as it grew along The Kings Highway in the mid 1800’s. We will also look at Coleman’s Corners, Little York, and the founding of East Toronto Village, And the rise and fall of the mighty Grand Trunk Railroad.

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase!
