Have you ever wanted to explore with neighbours how we can be better prepared for storms and power outages? You're invited to the East City CARE (Community Action for Resilience in Emergencies) meeting
Saturday, February 28th and March 28th | 1:00–3:00 PM | St. Luke's Anglican Church, 566 Armour Rd.
After the spring 2025 ice storm left many of us without power for multiple days, we realized how important it is to be connected and prepared as a neighbourhood. Join East City neighbours for a friendly, practical meeting to share what worked last time, what didn’t, and how we can support one another during the next major storm or outage.
We’ll talk about simple, neighbour-to-neighbour plans like:
➡️How we can check in on each other during outages
➡️Communication options when power/internet is out
➡️Sharing resources (warming spots, charging, tools, supplies)
➡️Supporting seniors, families, and anyone who might need extra help
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re new to the area or have been here for years. Bring your ideas, experiences, and questions.
