Come and listen to a bilingual story in Mandarin and English!
Bring your children to East Asian Bilingual Storytime and enjoy a storybook telling of “Kon and Pon” by Masako Matsuno. This friendship story tells of Kon, a fox, and Pon, a raccoon dog, who live on different sides of a mountain river. Their families have never gotten along, but Kon and Pon’s friendship changes everything.
The Center for East Asian and Pacific, in partnership with the Champaign Public Library, presents East Asian Bilingual Storytime, a monthly family event series celebrating cultural and language diversity in our communities. Each bilingual storytime event will feature a story read in English and Chinese, Japanese, or Korean to spark children’s interest in East Asian languages and cultures. All are welcome!
