Join us to celebrate the land and its bounty, as we shift our focus to the environment and how we can better utilize our natural resources to strengthen resilience and community.
Enjoy a small Black/Brown farmers market with vendors providing FREE produce and goods, workshops and demos presented by Nurturing Roots Farm, free plants + potting activity and plant care consultations from Black Origin Plants, fresh juice from Avole Café, and dance workshops with Dancing Ting!
This event is part of Seattle Reads “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia Butler, and is presented in partnership with ARTE NOIR. It is made possible by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and The Wallace Foundation, with additional support from Grand Central Publishing, and media sponsor The Seattle Times.
