WHAT
A workshop day to discover the potential of raw earth as a building material. Including Rammed Earth, Compressed Earth Bricks and Clay plaster.
At the atelier of BC materials (@ Tour et Taxis, Brussels).
You will
*discover the approach of BC materials on how to use excavated earth
*get a brief scientific approach of the material (lecture)
*understand different earth construction techniques
*make samples of rammed earth, compressed earth bricks and clay plasters
PLANNING
This is a hands-on day. We want you to discover by doing. Combined with a small lecture.
PRACTICAL
Don’t forget to take
*clothes that can get dirty
*lunch

Une journée de workshop afin de découvrir le potentiel de la terre crue comme matériau de construction.
Inclusive pisé, brique terre crue et enduit à l'argile. L'atelier se fera à l'atelier de BC Materials (@ Tour et Taxis, Bruxelles).
ON VA
* découvrir l'approche de BC materials sur l'utilisation et la revalorisation des terres excavées de chantier
* obtenir une approche scientifique du matériau (conférence)
* comprendre les différentes techniques de construction en terre crue
* faire des échantillons de pisé, btc et d'enduit d'argile
PLANIFICATION
C'est une journée pratique. Nous voulons que vous découvriez en faisant. La journée sera aussi combiné avec une petite conférence.
