About this Event

Earth Wisdom, Nature and Us

H4C is delighted to invite you to our second conference on Saturday, 14th March 2026. Please join us to hear from eminent speakers from different faiths about how they learn from the natural world and integrate that wisdom into their lives.

This intimate conference is immersive and anchored in stories of active hope. There is plenty of space and time for sharing, discussion and reflection, and we look forward to all participants contributing to the event. We hope you will leave feeling inspired and reinvigorated on your path to living well with nature.


Speakers will include:
  • Rev’d Dr Peter Rožič - Director of Integral Ecology Research Network at Laudo Si Research Institute, Campion Hall
  • Indira Ghale - Director of Change Action Nepal
  • Famau Shukry - Field Manager at Lamu Marine Conservation Trust, Kenya
  • Annabel Heseltine - environmental journalist, editor and broadcaster, host of "Hope Springs" podcast
  • Rabbi Dr Michael Hilton - Rabbi Emeritus at Kol Chai Hatch End Reform Jewish Community, Scholar in Residence at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue London, and co-founder of Oxford Three Faiths Encounter
  • Kathy Shock - Lead on Eco-Judaism, Oxford Synagogue and artist
  • Ruby Radwan - Co-founder of Willowbrook Farm
  • Mark Stevenson - Grower and owner of Clays Organics
  • Esther de Waal - writer and academic in the area of monastic and Celtic spirituality
  • Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker - Founder of Hope4Creation, Chair of the Oxford Council of Faiths [OxCof]

Talks and discussions start from 2pm at the Friends Meeting House, St Giles', Oxford, and will include refreshments of tea, coffee and cake. This will be followed by an optional reception and a delicious vegetarian dinner at Green Templeton College from 7pm.

There is also an option to experience a guided tour of Willowbrook Farm, the UK's first halal ethical farm, near Kidlington. Transport to and from the farm will be provided, leaving from St Giles' at 10am.

Earth Wisdom, Nature and Us is open to everyone, of all faiths and none. We hope you can come!



Ticket details:

Conference Admission ticket: Conference only - includes afternoon tea | 2pm - 6.30pm | £10 per ticket

Conference Admission plus college dinner ticket: Conference & dinner at Green Templeton College (vegetarian) | 2pm - 10pm | £25 per ticket

Pay-more donation: If you're able to pay more for any of these tickets, please donate extra to help us keep this event affordable for all

Additional Farm Tour registration: Additional morning trip to Willowbrook Farm | 10am - 1pm | Free and valid only on purchase of either Conference Admission tickets

Travel information

The Friends Meeting House, St Giles', Oxford OX1 3LW - Please find recommended transport options on their website. There is bicycle parking on St Giles'. No on-site car parking.

Green Templeton College, 43 Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6HG - This is 0.3 miles up the road from the Friends Meeting House. Parking is not available.

Willowbrook Farm, Hampton Gay, Kidlington OX5 2QQ - Free on-site parking available. We will also coordinate transport to and from St Giles'.

We are very happy to provide a free carer ticket where needed to fully participate - please contact us to arrange.

The Friends Meeting House - The Meeting House is fully wheelchair accessible (ground floor), and there is a hearing loop system. Please get in touch if you require disabled parking.

Willowbrook Farm - The cafe and the main farm area (menagerie, picnic area and a few animal ranges) are wheelchair accessible. The rest of the farm is accessible via the roads, paths and tracks however, as the ground can be uneven (general fields and farmland) to access all areas of the farm would need a companion to help manoeuvre in places.

Green Templeton College - Please notify us if you have any mobility needs so we can liaise with the college. General access details are on their website.
